Welcome to the Northern Rovers Football Club! We are a passionate community of football enthusiasts dedicated to fostering talent, promoting sportsmanship, and creating memorable experiences for our members and their families and friends. However, to keep our club running smoothly and to continue offering top-notch programs and experinces, we need your help. We are calling on all community members, friends, and family to step forward and volunteer with us. Your time and dedication can make a huge difference! On this page we hope to highlight what we need to ensure we continue to provide all that we need to for our members. We need you so don't be shy.

Why We Need Volunteers

Running a successful football club requires a lot of effort behind the scenes. Our current staff (1.5 people) and volunteers have done an incredible job, but as our club grows, so do our needs. We need more hands on deck to ensure we can continue providing an excellent on field product, organising social and fundraising events, and maintaining our facilities. Volunteering is not just about giving your time; it's about being part of something bigger, something that brings joy and development to many. The concept of volunteering has changed through the years and despite seeing our staff and some of the existing volunteers keeping things organised please don;t think we don't need a hand, because we do.

Areas Where You Can Help

Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit to a regular schedule, we have a variety of roles that need filling:

• Grade Convenors: Assist our Director of Football and Admin staff manage an individual grade. Your time will be offset with FOC registration fee and a full job description of the role can be found below.
• Event Management: Help organise and run club events, matches, and tournaments. From setup to cleanup, every bit of help is invaluable.
• Administration: Support our administrative staff with tasks such as registration, scheduling, and communication. A smooth operation behind the scenes ensures everything runs without a hitch.
• Facilities Maintenance: Help maintain our pitches and facilities. A well-kept ground not only looks great but also ensures the safety of our players. Below you will see a live "To Do" Google Sheet filled with all the jobs and maintenance we need to complete. We have done our best to estimate time and equipment needed. Please feel free to put your name to one or many of these to action
• Fundraising and Sponsorship: By joining our Commercial Committee you will get to work with our team to secure much needed funding and sponsorships. Your efforts can help us keep membership fees low and invest in better equipment, programs and upgrades to our facilities.

What we can do for you

We understand your time is valuable and you are generally volunteering through a connection to the club so we want to make sure your time is not filled with questions on what to do or standing around waiting for instructions. As the roles are varied we will provide full training on roles that require more time and effort than some and those jobs which are small such as facilities maintenance we have these listed on this page so you don't need to spend time asking what you can do. We encourage any University or Senior Secondary School students requiring an organisation or club to base their practical studies with to come forward. We will officially endorse any reference to the university or secondary school of your involvement with our club that you may need.
