Junior - U9 Mixed and Girls (please scroll down for Girls info)

PLAYER ID – U9 MIXED

All girls and boys born in 2012 are invited to attend the Mixed U9 Player ID Sessions for selection into the Northern Rovers U9 Development Teams.

Players selected into a Development Team will be required to train twice per week during terms 2 and 3 and will play 7 v 7 in the NRF (Northern Region Football) League on Saturday mornings.

Selection into the NRF League requires the ability to play on Saturdays around Auckland and attend tournaments on Sundays, where applicable.

  • The 2 Premier teams will have independent qualified junior coaches for two trainings per week and a game; this brings an extra cost for the coaches’ skills and time. The coaching fees for this time will be $500.
  • All other teams will require a volunteer coach for games and any additional team training.

Volunteer Coaches:

  • If you are interested in being a volunteer coach we would love to hear from you.  We will have dedicated coach support for all volunteer coaches to call on at any time.
  • Northern Rovers will also be offering all volunteer coaches the chance to participate in the JL2 coaching course which will take place over a half a day (most likely a Saturday) in February.
  • This course is a NZ Football accredited course and will be free to attend for all Northern Rovers members.
  • Completion of the course will provide you with a JL2 coaching qualification which is valid for 3 years.

Any player wanting to play with friends or even put together a complete friend’s team we are happy to receive these requests.  Please note this detail on your registration form or email [email protected]

Any player that does not want to be considered for a place in the 2 x Development teams do not need to attend trials.

Once registrations close we will finalise these teams trying our best to accommodate all playing preferences.
