COVID 19 Policies and Procedures

All Northern Rovers FC Members, Spectators, Visitors must abide by all Club, NZ Football and Ministry of Health Rules and Guidelines at all times.

     New Zealand Football Vaccination Requirement Update 

  • New Zealand Football and the federations have developed guidance with Sport NZ for football and futsal under the Red setting of the Covid-19 Protection Framework
  • To be compliant with the Covid-19 Protection Framework at the Red setting, all football and futsal competitions, matches and trainings for participants aged 12 years and 3 months and over will operate as My Vaccine Pass Gatherings
  • Participants aged 5-11 are encouraged to be vaccinated but it is not a requirement.

Refunds related to COVID-19

The Club recognises the hardship and uncertainty many families face as a result of the impacts of COVID-19, and should the 2022 football be impacted by delays and cancellations, we have outlined below a clear and transparent policy for handling refunds for subscriptions, pro-coach fees and holiday programmes.

Subscriptions

If COVID restrictions mean that no team trainings or games occur for the entire 2022 season, then a full Subscriptions refund will be available to all players.

If the playing season gets underway, but COVID restrictions mean no more than 60% of the scheduled games for the season are played, then a 25% Subscriptions refund will be available to all players.

If more than 60% of the scheduled games for the season are not impacted by COVID-19 cancellations, then no refund of Subscriptions will be available.

Pro-Coach Fees

The pro-coach fee paid by some of our Junior and Youth teams (including our TDP teams) is based on the number of trainings and games (sessions) for the season, along with a player development administrative charge. If COVID-19 restrictions result in less than 80% of the sessions being delivered for 2022, a $100 player development administrative charge will be retained by the Club, and the remaining pro-coach fee will be available to be refunded to the player on a pro rata basis. For example, if the pro-coach fee is $850 per player and only 50% of the planned training/game sessions for 2022 are delivered, a refund of $375 will be available to each player ($850 – $100) x 50%). If 80% or more of the planned sessions are not impacted by COVID-19 there will be no pro-coach refund available.

Holiday Programmes

 

The cost for all holiday programmes will be fully refunded if they cannot proceed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
